Kenana Knitters

Kenana Knitters started in Njoro, Kenya 1998, to help rural women find some much needed form of income using their spinning and knitting skills. They create a range of toys, accessories and soft furnishings using 100% natural wool, which has been home spun, plant dyed and hand-knitted with care.

There is a real charm to these handmade, lovingly crafted creatures, with their highly individual faces and range of natural colours. When you are treating a child (or an adult!) with a Kenana animal you are directly supporting these knitters and their own families back in Njoro, Kenya.
